Description
Van Gogh’s Pink Roses, hand-painted in oil
Painted in 1890 in his last days at Saint-Rémy, Pink Roses belongs to the series of large, hopeful bouquets Van Gogh made as a farewell before leaving the asylum. Soft roses crowd a green vase against a fresh light-green ground, calm and full of light. As with his other roses of this moment, the pink has faded with time, leaving the gentle near-white blooms we see today.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the soft roses and fresh green keep the calm of the original.
Where a soft floral belongs
Serene and elegant, it suits a bedroom, a bathroom, a hallway or a living room, and pairs beautifully with pale walls, wood and greenery.
