Description
Van Gogh’s Harvest at La Crau, hand-painted in oil
Painted near Arles in June 1888, Harvest at La Crau (also called The Blue Cart) looks across the vast harvest plain of La Crau, patchworked with golden wheat, green fields, farms, carts and haystacks, the ruined abbey of Montmajour rising in the distance. Van Gogh counted it among his very best works, a picture of the whole fertile land laid out in glowing colour and clear, deep space.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the golden plain and deep distance keep the sweep of the original.
Where a great landscape belongs
Expansive and warm, it anchors a living room, a study or a dining room, and pairs beautifully with wood, cream walls and warm light.
