Description
Van Gogh’s Enclosed Field with Rising Sun, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Saint-Rémy in 1889, this landscape shows the walled wheat field Van Gogh could see from his asylum window, a great sun rising over the hills and flooding the young green wheat with light. He returned to this enclosed field through the seasons; here he fills the sky with radiating strokes around the sun, a picture of morning, hope and renewal in his rolling late style.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the rising sun and green field keep the feeling of the original.
Where a hopeful landscape belongs
Its warm sun and fresh green suit a living room, a bedroom or a hallway, and pair beautifully with wood, cream walls and warm light.
