Description
Van Gogh’s Daubigny’s Garden, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Auvers-sur-Oise in July 1890, in the very last weeks of his life, Daubigny’s Garden looks across the wide, flowering garden of Charles-François Daubigny, a landscape painter Van Gogh deeply admired. Green lawns, flowerbeds, a distant house and a small figure fill the broad canvas, painted in fresh greens, warm accents and rhythmic strokes, one of the largest and most peaceful of his final works.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the wide garden and fresh greens keep the feeling of the original.
Where a lush garden belongs
Its fresh greens suit a living room, a study or above a sofa, and pair beautifully with wood, cream walls and greenery.
