Description
Van Gogh’s Autumn Landscape, hand-painted in oil
Painted in Nuenen in the autumn of 1885, this landscape sets a stand of trees and low fields glowing in the rich russets, golds and browns of the Brabant autumn under a soft sky. Van Gogh loved the season’s warm, dying colour and painted the turning foliage in loaded, earthy strokes; the whole scene has a quiet, rooted richness, one of the last landscapes of his Dutch years.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the autumn trees and warm colour keep the richness of the original.
Where an autumn landscape belongs
Its warm autumn tones suit a living room, a study or a hallway, and pair beautifully with wood and warm light.
