Description
Van Gogh’s Vineyards at Auvers, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890, in the last weeks of his life, this shows the green vineyards climbing the hill past a cluster of old thatched cottages under a bright sky. Van Gogh loved the fertile, cultivated country around Auvers; here the rows of vines, warm roofs and fresh sky are worked in his vigorous, rhythmic strokes of green, blue and gold, a bright, life-filled view of the village and its fields.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the vineyards and cottages keep the vitality of the original.
Where a village landscape belongs
Its fresh greens and warm roofs suit a living room, a kitchen or a bright hallway, and pair beautifully with wood, greenery and natural light.
