Description
Van Gogh’s Vase with Pink Roses, hand-painted in oil
Painted in 1890 in his last weeks at Saint-Rémy, Vase with Pink Roses belongs to a series of large, hopeful bouquets Van Gogh made as a kind of farewell before leaving the asylum. Soft roses crowd a vase against a fresh green-white ground, calm and full of light. The pink has faded over time, leaving the gentle near-white blooms we love today.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the soft blooms and fresh ground keep the calm of the original.
Where a soft floral belongs
Pale roses are serene and elegant, ideal for a bedroom, a bathroom, a hallway or a living room, against pale walls and pale wood.
