Description
Van Gogh’s Wheatfield with Sheaves and Reaper, hand-painted in oil
Painted near Arles in the summer of 1888, this glowing landscape shows a field of ripe wheat with bound sheaves and a reaper at work under a bright sky, farm buildings and hills beyond. Van Gogh loved the great harvest of Provence and painted it at the height of his powers; here the radiant golds, greens and blues, laid on in firm, generous strokes, fill the scene with warmth and the quiet rhythm of the harvest.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the golden field and radiant colour keep the glow of the original.
Where a harvest landscape belongs
Warm and radiant, it lights up a living room, a study or a hallway, and pairs beautifully with warm woods, neutral walls and natural light.
