Description
Van Gogh’s Child with Orange, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890, in the last months of his life, Child with Orange shows a small child seated in a field of fresh green, holding a bright orange fruit. Van Gogh loved painting the local children of Auvers, and rendered this one in clear, warm colour and rapid, tender brushwork, simple, direct and full of life.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the fresh greens, warm orange and gentle mood keep the charm of the original.
Where a tender portrait belongs
Warm and cheerful, it suits a nursery, a bedroom or a family living room, and pairs beautifully with soft neutrals and greenery.
