Description
Van Gogh’s Landscape with Snow, hand-painted in oil
Van Gogh reached Arles in February 1888 to find Provence under a rare blanket of snow, and painted it at once. Landscape with Snow shows a pinkish-white field crossed by a man and his dog, with a farm and hills beyond, one of his first works in the south, still cool in tone but already alert to the light he had come to find.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the soft snow, warm accents and open space keep the feeling of the original.
Where a soft winter scene belongs
Its calm, pale palette suits a bedroom, a living room or a hallway, and pairs beautifully with pale walls, wood and soft light.
