Description
Van Gogh’s Landscape with Three Trees and Houses, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890, in the last weeks of his life, this shows three slender trees rising beside a cluster of old houses, with fresh green gardens and a bright sky around them. Van Gogh loved the mix of trees and old roofs in the Auvers country; here the leaning trunks, warm walls and deep greenery are worked in his vigorous, rhythmic strokes, a bright, life-filled village corner.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the trees and houses keep the vitality of the original.
Where a village scene belongs
Its fresh greens and warm walls suit a living room, a study or a bright hallway, and pair beautifully with wood, greenery and natural light.
