Description
Van Gogh’s Poppy Field, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890, in the last weeks of his life, Poppy Field spreads a fresh green meadow scattered with countless small red poppies under a soft sky. Van Gogh loved the vivid dots of poppies dancing through the grass, and painted them in quick, lively touches of red against the green, a bright, joyful picture full of the movement of a summer field.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the scattered poppies and fresh green keep the vitality of the original.
Where a poppy field belongs
Fresh and cheerful, it suits a bedroom, a living room or a bright hallway, and pairs beautifully with pale walls, wood and greenery.
