Description
Van Gogh’s Two Children, hand-painted in oil
Painted at Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890, Two Children shows two of the village youngsters pressed close together, their round faces filling the canvas, painted quickly in fresh, clear colour. Van Gogh loved painting the children of Auvers in his last weeks, and caught this pair with warmth and directness, simple, tender and full of life.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the young faces and fresh colour keep the charm of the original.
Where a tender portrait belongs
Warm and cheerful, it suits a nursery, a bedroom or a family living room, and pairs beautifully with soft neutrals and warm light.
