Description
Van Gogh’s Wheat Field with Sheaves, hand-painted in oil
Painted near Arles in the summer of 1888, this glowing landscape shows bound sheaves of wheat standing in a cut golden field under a bright sky. Van Gogh loved the great harvest of Provence and painted it at the height of his powers; here the radiant golds and the rows of sheaves are laid on in firm, generous strokes, filling the scene with warmth and the quiet rhythm of the harvest.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the golden field and sheaves keep the glow of the original.
Where a harvest landscape belongs
Warm and radiant, it lights up a living room, a study or a hallway, and pairs beautifully with warm woods, neutral walls and natural light.
