Description
Van Gogh’s The Pink Peach Tree, hand-painted in oil
Painted in Arles in the spring of 1888, The Pink Peach Tree shows a single peach tree bursting with pink blossom against a fresh blue-and-white sky. Van Gogh learned of the death of his cousin and teacher Anton Mauve just as he finished it, and dedicated the picture to him, Souvenir de Mauve, making this tender image of new life also a quiet memorial.
Our version is a hand-painted oil reproduction, brushed onto canvas by a senior studio artist so the pink blossom and fresh sky keep the tenderness of the original.
Where a fresh spring scene belongs
Its soft pink and blue suit a bedroom, a nursery or a bright living room, and pair beautifully with pale walls, wood and greenery.
